About Us
Dorchester Habitat for Humanity builds decent, affordable homes alongside families in need in our community. Our mission statement is: Putting God's Love into Action by bringing people together building homes and hope. DHH typically builds 5 homes per year for qualified future homeowners in Dorchester County. We keep building costs down through volunteer labor, donated materials and land. It takes 2,000 volunteer hours to build each home. DHH hosts two fundraising events that raise money for professional contractor fees and materials, a golf tournament in the fall and clay shoot in the spring.
