Significant Changes to the International Residential Code
On January 1, 2020 all building departments in South Carolina will start enforcing the 2018 IRC code for new residential construction and remodeling. All plans submitted on or after January 1, 2020 will be approved and inspected in accordance with this code.
This 3 hour class will review the significant changes as we move from the 2015 IRC to the 2018 IRC and will cover all chapters of the code. We will also have general discussion on some topics that have been requested as they relate to ongoing code questions.
You will be required to have the new 2018 IRC book. You can purchase it in advance through the CHBA with a three week notice, or online yourself at www.iccsafe.org. Our discounted rate is $150 for the hardbound and $175 for the loose leaf.
