About Us

Founded in 2013 by Paul Kunitsa, Apex Contractors, LLC is built on a lifelong foundation in construction. Growing up in a large, family-owned commercial construction business, Paul developed a strong work ethic and deep industry knowledge from an early age. After relocating to Charleston, he found his true passion in residential construction, where precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail define every project. That passion became the foundation for Apex Contractors.

Since its founding, Apex has built a reputation for delivering high-quality work with reliability and integrity. We believe that successful projects start with clear communication and complete transparency, ensuring our clients feel confident and informed from start to finish. By combining modern construction practices with thoughtful design, our team creates spaces that are not only visually stunning but also built for long-term performance.

Today, Apex Contractors completes over 200 bathroom renovations each year and has developed extensive experience working with both modern and historic homes throughout the Charleston area. Our services include bathroom and kitchen renovations, design and remodeling, and custom home building, along with full home renovations and interior and exterior upgrades.
